Who are we?

ViriCiti was founded in 2012, in the very early days of e-mobility. Our business idea came after the founders have spent one year of conducting well over 100 interviews with leaders in the public transit market. This research made it clear that an electric bus revolution was on the way. However, no one was tackling the challenge of managing the electric bus fleet. This is how ViriCiti came to life. We decided to build, from the first line of code, a software platform designed to help operators manage their entire electric operation. Fast forward to today, we are now serving some of the largest commercial electric operations in the world, across 20 countries. We moved quickly from an Amsterdam start-up to a global scale-up – in 2019 we doubled our workforce and opened two additional offices in the US, in Greenville, South Carolina, and Irvine, California. While we may have grown, our ambition to accelerate the transition to zero-emission transport hasn’t changed. Assisting electric and mixed bus operations worldwide, ViriCiti remains as ambitious as we were on Day 1.
