Sales Engineer - East Coast Representative

We are ViriCiti; a young clean-tech startup company of ambitious ViriCitizens who are working hard on the electric transition of commercial vehicles. We are looking for a Sales Engineer with automotive experience and great people skills to join our customer-focused sales team. Your job

We are looking for a Sales Engineer who is eager to learn and interested in being part of our exciting growth phase. In this ambitious and challenging role, you will develop new leads and approach potential customers; as well as  identifying upselling opportunities with existing customers. Your position will be key in enabling ViriCiti to continue expansion in the States. This is your opportunity to be part of an international startup as a real pioneer.  

Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Visiting customer sites and fleet deployments

  • Understanding and capturing customer needs

  • Continuously evaluating product requirements and value

  • Running and supporting conferences and expositions

  • Creating first contact with customer leads

  • Coordinating demos and training

  • Coordinating RFP responses

  • Helping to improve the customer experience

  • Coordinating customer specific logistics


Required Experience

  • BS 4 year Engineering degree or similar.

  • have at least 2 years’ experience in the automotive industry, or

  • have at least 2 years’ experience with an ITS (CAD/AVL) company or IoT, or
  • have at least 2 years’ experience with a bus, truck, or charger OEM
  • are Internet savvy and you know how to conduct market research.

  • can start asap (preferably March).

  • have (the ability to obtain) a US passport.

  • have the willingness to travel up to 50%.

  • know your way around working with Mac/PC, including but not limited proficiency with MS Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.

  • are able to work independently, structured and organized.

Besides relevant experience we are also looking for character.

Personality and social skills are very important to us.
